Anderson Family Farm started in our hearts and minds in 1979 when we were married. We both fancied getting out of the city and wanted a more rural lifestyle for our children. We soon were able to take advantage of a small 5 acre farm Rick’s father purchased outside of Gig Harbor and started our adventure. Although we moved many times after that, the lessons learned of gardening, animals and country living stayed with us. Our “farm” took another leap forward in 1997 when we first purchased goats; we learned quickly about fencing, feeding and birthing! After enjoying their wonderful milk, we also started to explore the cheese, kefir, yogurt and soap we could create! Once again, we moved forward in 2006 with a purchase of 16 acres in Ellensburg Washington. This farm allowed us the space and climate to add more animals, design and build a barn and operate on a larger scale. Finally, the next step in our “farm” was realized in July of 2011, as we launched our online site to feature almost 80 products that are created here on our farm in one way or another! We praise the Lord for His goodness to allow us this opportunity, knowing we depend daily on His pure grace!
